Janet & Van Engagement at the Dallas Arboretum

Dr. Janet and Dr. Van are a great looking couple that I had the pleasure to photograph for. Their wedding is in June and I can’t wait to do it. We had a great time shooting at the Dallas Arboretum, just at the start of the Dallas Bloom 2010. The flowers were beautiful and so was our future bride. We decided to skip the flowers and concentrate on Janet instead. I greatly enjoyed taking the images for Janet and Van. I hope you like them too.

It was our pleasure to cover the wonderful wedding for Sharon and Lee in Houston Texas. The wedding ceremony was performed at the St. Helen Catholic Church in Pearland, Texas. The reception was held at the Kim Son restaurant in the Bellair area. We were overwhelmed with the love and emotions from this wedding, and very glad that we were there to be a part of the special day for Sharon and Lee.

It was a nice day, a bit chilly, for portrait at the Dallas Arboretum. I had a great time doing portrait for The Holter. The boys was great, very cooperative. But they sure have grown a lot since our last portrait session.

Before Halloween, I had a chance to do portrait for Alessandra again. This time she brought her very cute sister with her. Mom and dad were big help during the shoot. I hope to do more studio portrait like this in the future. I hope we will do their portrait again next year. I like happy, repeating client.

Vicky & Vincent Tea Ceremony

It was our pleasure to provide this free service to Vicky and Vincent on their wedding day. We would love to do more free weddings for people who can not afford the service of professional photographer on their wedding day. Please send us your request and we will let you know if we can provide our services to you.

Vicky & Vincent’s wedding was a mixed religion wedding, as Vicky is Buddhist and Vincent is Catholic. They both agreed to make compromises to have both religious ceremonies in their wedding, but are both happy that they are now husband and wife. I hope you enjoy the images. I will try to explain the meaning of the images when I can.

This is the gift that the groom brings to the bride family for permission to marry her.The bride is getting ready and waiting.

The children also is also having some fun while waiting for the groom.

The groom wedding party arrived and gathered in front of the bride's home.

The groom wedding party was getting ready to go into the bride's home.

All the wedding gifts were ready to be handed over to the bride family.

The bride's family representative would not let the groom party in the house until the auspicious time arrived. You can see the displeasure on the face of the groom family representative.

All of the gifts to the bride's family were in the house and displayed on the tables.

Last minute strategy conference on the groom side.

The gifts were then opened and explained to everyone at the wedding.

The bride's family members inspected the gifts with the groom's family member.

The bride was then introduced to the groom's family, supposedly for the first time.

The bride and groom meet each other.

Bride & Groom both praying at the bride's family altar.

The next part was gift giving from the bride's family members to the bride. Something that she can keep as her keepsake. Here they were trying to pin an earing on the bride. I guess that ear had not have a ring on for a long time, ouch.

The bride mother gave her daughter some keepsake jewelry. In the old days the villages were far apart, transportation was difficult. The bride may not see her family again for a long time.

The catholic wedding ceremony is the same as any western adding ceremony at the church.

It was my pleasure to shoot Julie & John Tuttle wedding with BrooksWeddings.com again. Thank you Brooks for the tag along opportunity, I sure learned a lot from you. Julie and John were a great couple. They sure love each other and it showed during the wedding. The church was beautiful. There were a lot of emotions during the ceremony and receptions.
